Tyler has just been admitted to the ICU wing at UW to treat sepsis. His goal is still to get home as soon as possible, but he decided that he wanted to get treatment for whatever was hitting him today.
They beefed up his fluids, given him some IV antibiotics, and put him on oxygen. He does seem to be a little bit better, although he is still at very high risk. His blast count doubled in the last 24 hours which is a very bad sign.
We'll keep you updated on what happens.

Dear Tyler and Mandy,
ReplyDeleteIt is just breaking my heart to hear all that Tyler is going through right now. And Mandy, I know you are carrying much on your shoulders as well. I pray that Tyler rebounds from illness very soon. This fight is physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting, I pray you both find the strength and courage to battle onward. Do they know why Tyler is so short of breath? I sure hope they can figure it out, that concerns me very much. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending cyber hugs to you both, my heart is with you. with fond regard, Diane
